For 9 years, I worked as a Senior UX/UI Designer at Blackmagic Design, one of the world's leading manufacturers of professional video and audio equipment. My work centred on DaVinci Resolve, the industry-standard editing, colour grading, and sound design software used by professionals worldwide, alongside embedded UI design for hardware products including the URSA Mini camera, Fairlight audio panel, and DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel.

Designing across both software and physical hardware interfaces meant thinking about usability at every scale, from a colourist's full editing suite down to a single physical button on a control panel. This work was recognised with multiple international design awards, including Red Dot, iF Design, and the German Design Award.

That depth of experience designing for complex, high-stakes professional tools is what now shapes my approach to every website and brand I build at Design by Alana.
